Brundage Opening Weekend
Had an awesome time riding pow with the crew up at Brundage this weekend. The snow was great and it really wasn't that busy. The second day the sun came out in the afternoon and after a weekend of riding I have my legs back, but I'm sore as hell.

First Pow Day
Went out with the crew at the end of November and built some little jumps into some pow, or at least we thought. We all hit the jumps a couple times until Tristan landed on a rock and got a major bruise on his side. We decided to call it after that and went snowmobiling back to the lot through 3ft deep pow with trees down everywhere. It was a great first day out.

OUT OF BOUNDS
It's about that time of year, the snow starts flying and those of us who live for the mountain snow are rejuvenated with a new found energy that propels itself into a new found motivation for the season to come. In light of this I have decided to release the Seven Devils Film "Out of Bounds" online for FREE! The film will be released for free as stated, however it is much better looking on DVD. For a copy call 208-867-7582. $5 DVD. Enjoy! Also, If you would like to view the video in Higher Quality, I have also released it in a 4 part series on our YouTube channel.

Spring or Winter?
Is it spring or winter? That has been the pervasive question up here in the mountains of Idaho this April and May. In late March it was looking like the lackluster 2010 winter was over for good. But mother nature has decided to be indecisive and kept throwing cold storms in our direction. These are some photos from the past month. Is it spring or winter? you decide, because mother nature isn't, and that's just fine in my book.

The Highmark Jump
Tristan, Tj, Ian, Cam, and Dylan all went out on Saturday and built the Highmark jump. These are photos from the session that ensued after our behemoth creation was brought to life. This jump spot is sick, it is a huge roller with a big steep landing. But the jump is also notorious for being highmarked by snowmobilers, hence the name the "highmark jump." On this particular day there was no highmark in the landing and it was ready to go. We built the jump differently than normal, normal, being straight on. But this time we decided to build it from the side and turn it into a giant hip landing. Check it out.

Canonball Run
What do you do on a windy gloomy spring day when the snow isn't good. Well, my brother Cam and I (Dylan) decided to grab a case of beer and hit the trail up to Burgdorf hotsprings. When we got out north about 20 miles the skies cleared slightly and it ended up being sunny up at the hotsprings. We drank a beer every couple miles or so and by the time we reached Secesh summit I had a good buzz going. We hung out on the Secesh river and then spent the rest of the day at the hotspings swimming. The new staff is super chill and we were drinking beers in the hotsping. They normally wouldn't allow this in previous years. We had the whole place to ourselves and I healed up my sore bones in the hot pool. All in all in was a great day and the trail home was scenic and relaxing.

This is a shot from a couple of days ago. Cam Holt sets off a small slide and rides away from it. Nobody likes avalanches but they do make for good footage.

Open Season
It's spring time already? Yup. But with the little amounts of snowfall coming our way and the nice weather the UGC has been out searching, and finding the goods to shred. Its open season in the Idaho Backcountry and the charge is on to get the last of the pow before its all gone.
